Writing Prompt A: Revenge
Write about a time when you got revenge. How did it feel? Did/do you regret it??
I got revenge on my brother when he punched the mess out of me. I guess I possed him off while he was playing a video game so he punched me really hard. My brother was like twice the size of me and I started to cry. Then out of fustration I unplugged the game from the wall. It felt great when I did it because I knew he was far in the game and so he had to restart the level. But when I unplugged it he got even more mad and kicked me out of our room which I really couldn't do anything about. In the end we got over it and I watched him play. It was a crazy time. But we fought a lot and argued. Luckily we grew out of it.
I got revenge on my neighbor when I was younger. After finding out she egged my house one night, I decided I needed to give her a taste of her own medicine. When my parents found out our house got egged they blamed me. I got in trouble, and I couldn't let my neighbor get away scott free. So one night me and my friends went to her house and egged it. But we ended up breaking one of her windows. At first it felt good to know she would get into trouble like she made me get into trouble. Then I had remorse I thought I took it to far. When my parents found out I egged her house back, I was in more trouble then to begin with. So revenge was nice for a moment. Feeling powerful, but it didn't last long. I don't think it ever would in any case.
Once I was playing soccer and I was pushed so later I slide tackled the guy to get revenge and the ref did not let me play anymore so I learn my lesson
One time, I was playing soccer and my friend pushed me, so I tripped and fell, I got angry and I tackled him, his head smashed against the post of the goal, and he twisted his ankle, and couldn't play again for a few weeks. I did regret it because it was my friend after all.
Probably when my cousin stole my phone charger and I couldn't use my phone for two weeks. When I finally found it in her room and she got a new I Phone. I cut her charger with scissors. to be honest I didn't really regret it and because I knew she could by a new one
He kept physicallt abusing me, and whatever retaliation attempt I resorted to only amplified his destructive and tyrannical power over me. My only option left was to tell mommy on him, and that was enough to get him in trouble and spanked.
One time I got revenge was when a friend stole my phone and when I found out he took my phone I took his phone and throw it across the parking lot and it shatted. I Do regret it because I was acting just like him and was no better then he was.
One time i got revenge on a girl because she cracked my phone so i cut her hair. She wouldn't stop playing and i was getting very upset. I regret it cause she had long pretty hair. If she would have paid for the screen we would't have a problem.
One time I got revenge on my brother. He poured water on me in my sleep to wake me up. So I plotted on him for like 3 days. Finally I got him back with some ice cold water. I don't regret it because he did it to me first.
I don't think I've gotten revenge even if I did it's not really considered "getting revenge". For example, when I scared my brother because he scared me. I don't think its good getting revenge because you only hurt yourself. If you just keep focusing on the past how are you going to move on? When you focus on the pain you push people away. It's better to try to forgive and forget or else you will just be unhappy. I got too deep hahaha.
I had gotten revenge on my brother one time. He kept messing with me and hitting me. So one day, while he was playing his video game, I decided I would unplug it. He got really mad. He told my mom and I had gotten in trouble. I thought it would make him stop messing with me, but it only made him mess with me even more. The feeling I had gotten from it was great at first, but once I got in trouble that feeling went away. I don't regret it because he shouldn't have been messing with me, and after all, it's just a game.
A time I got revenge was when my brother threw a ball at me. I got revenge by throwing that same ball right back at him. I felt bad because he is my little brother. I should have just pushed him or something.
One time I got revenge was winning when I was playing a game. It felt good because I was the winner. I never regret winning at all.
