  1. If I was in the place of Hamlet I would not listen to others and follow the ghost. Its my father's ghost of course. What if what he has to say could save a million souls. Nothing and no one could hold me back from what I truly believe I should do. They only thing that is holding Hamlet back is his close friends, but if they truly was his friends they would understand his curiosity & the adventure he will be taking& may want to take.

  2. If I were in hamlets place, I feel like I would listen to the ghost and do as he says. The reason that I would listen to it would be because of how sad I am about my fathers death. The only thing that might hold me back would be my mother. I might also be held back because i don't want to be in prison for killing the king of Denmark.

  5. If I were in hamlets place I would not get revenge. I would get justice and find evidence to show who did the murder so he can take responsibility for what the killer did. By finding who did it then you can bring justice to his name.

  6. I would do everything the ghost says doesnt matter what it is bc i would want to get revenge anyways but it would hold me back to hurt my mom for killing her second husband

  7. If I were in Hamlet's position, I would seek revenge. If it was the only thing I could do to get the betrayal that I feel towards the brother of of my father out, then yes I would believe and do everything the ghost of my father is asking me to do. Something that might hold Hamlet back is the fact that the ghost of his father told him not to do anything that might cause his mother to feel anymore guilt than she already has.

  8. If I was Hamlet, I would follow the ghost because he may be leading me to finding justice or the truth that's been hidden away. One thing that might be stopping him is his mom, his mom probably wants the best for him.

  9. Being Hamlet, I would follow the ghost. Also, I would believe the ghost because of how mommy is remarrying, and is not just marrying another guy. She is remarry my uncle, who is now the current king, and also I would do Daddy's bidding. One thing that would hold Hamlet back, is trying to take in all these sudden information of his dad being killed, mom remarrying, uncle becoming king, and what is going to happen to everybody, including Hamlet himself.

  10. If I was Hamlet and I saw the ghost of my father and he told me to go avenge him I would do it. I would because I didn't become king because of Cladius and he murdered my father. His mother might be holding Hamlet back if she found out he might kill Cladius.

  11. If i were Hamlet id follow the ghost. Its not everyday you get that opportunity! Since the ghost is his dad, id listen to him and believe him. After the ghost tells me to seek revenge for him id do it for the thrill of the mission. Plus Hamlet seems to hate the new king who he just found out killed his dad. However, the only way he might not carry out the task is because he falls in love, hes scared, or because his mom, the Queen, has something to do with it.

  12. Being Hamlet I would follow the ghost. The ghost is still his dad. Hamlet is not happy with his mom because of what she did to his dad so he wants to get revenge anyways. With it being his dad and he wants to seek revenge on his mom I would listen to the ghost. The one thing that might hold him back is what his mom has to say about it. However Hamlet isn't happy with his mom, so why not seek revenge and who cares what his mom has to say about it.

  13. If I was Hamlet I would follow the ghost and seek revenge because the ghost had a purpose and didn't approach Hamlet for irrelevant reasons.Things that would hold Hamlet back would be the outcome of his revenge such as the wrong person getting hurt. Or maybe the thought of karma coming back around.

  14. I wouldn't let the ghost get to me. Emotion is what gets you killed in the real world. If I get revenge it's because I want it. The ghost might not even be my own father, it can a awful spirit that likes to see chaos that it causes. I feel like that the only thing that is holding back prince hamlet that he might lose his chance of being king.

  15. If i was Hamlet I'd listen to the ghost, since What he was saying made sense. I would see if What the ghost said was true first and make sure marcellus or horatio didn't get in the way

  16. If I were in hamlets place I would not listen to the ghost. In this situation he is asking Hamlet to kill the king of Denmark and I personally would not to be either thrown into prison or get killed over getting revenge for a dead man even if he was my father. Hamlet is being held back because he might be thinking of what his friends and family might think of him and how they will react.

  17. If I was Hamlet, I really wouldn't know what to do. Think about it, should I listen to my father's spirit or should I just ignore him? Either way, sooner or later, getting revenge will come and bite you in your butt. But if this was to happen to me and my uncle married my mom, I would be just as mad as Hamlet and listen to my father's spirit and attempt to kill my uncle for what he's done. Hamlet might be held back by his reputation and maybe how sad his mother might get.

  18. If I were Hamlet, I would follow the ghost and get revenge. The ghost knows everything, so if Hamlet goes with him he could possibly find out who murdered his father and get his revenge in honor of his father. I think the only thing that would hold him back, is his mother because he has so much love for her. He wouldn't just want to abandon her like that.

  22. if i was hamlet i would see was the ghost really my father whitch he did but when hamlet found out who killed his dad i woulda thought of revenge right away i would kill them because they killed my dad. But one thing that would probably hold me back is the mom.

  23. If I were Hamlet I would freak out, I mean there is an apparition that claims to be my father. If you ask me that is very unsettling. To make sure it was my father I would ask it a series of questions just to see if this thing is legit. Would I seek revenge, probably, I mean they killed my,father I feel like I would seek revenge by proving that the king poisoned my father, and have him suffer the consequences.
What might hold hamlet back would be doubt about the ghost being real.

  25. If I was in hamlets position, I'd believe what the ghost was telling me and I would do what he said. I don't think there is anything holding hamlet back. His uncle killed his father and took his wife so there's more reason for him to kill him. Just Saying

  27. If I was Hamlet I would seek revenge for my father, although he may be a ghost. Hamlets father had told him the truth about what his brother had did and why he should not believe anyone else and their lies.

  28. If i was Hamlet i will feel the same raged but don't kill him because someone could kill me just easy. There also could be a possibility its not him , instead it could be a demon or my imagination . Also Hamlet mom probably hold him back because she is happy.

  29. I honestly wouldn't know what to do. I'd believe it was an actual ghost but I don't know if I could kill another person off of a ghost telling me to. But if I knew who murdered him there might just be an exception

  30. I would kill them !!!!!! he killed my dad so karma is just the way of life.I would believe the ghost because it would mean i would be craxy if he wasnt really a ghost, so a ghost is the only logical explanation. The only thing that would hold me back is the time it takes to create a perfect murder

  32. This ghost is not just any ghost. This is his father. If I was Hamlet I would do as my father assisted me to, even though he's a ghost. But the only thing that would hold me back is, the feeling of taking someones life away. But then again he killed me father..

  33. If I was Hamlet I would definitely avenge my father's murder. I would believe the ghost because he is telling me things that only my father would know. I mean it is the dudes father. Fear might hold Hamlet back, because it is a ghost, and maybe he is imagining this ghost, and it's really grief he is seeing.

  36. if i was hamlet i would do what my father told me to do and get revenge, after seeing his father being a ghost is kinda scary but thinking about my father would only make me want to kill the king.

  37. If I was Hamlet I would definitely follow the ghost and avenge my father, depending on certain circumstances. I think him seeing his father might scare him a little, but it also may make him want to avenge his father even more.

  38. If I were Hamlet I would not listen to the ghost I'd actually try to get away from it because what if it was just an evil spirit posing as my father, and it was just trying to make do bad deeds for it I just wouldn't be able to trust it in any way. Hamlet might be held back by his emotions at the moment, his melancholy for his father's death doesn't let him open his eyes to see the truth.
